This months topic for the photography group at work was "Paint", the above being the shot i liked most. My original intention was much more ambitious but also a lot more difficult than i thought.
I found it quite difficult to adjust my mind set to not take the subject topic so literal and after a lot of thought came up with an idea. I wanted to take a series of photos where at first glance it seemed like a none descript picture. Yet on closure inspection would reveal something unusual.
Using a sheet of glass and watered down paint i attempted to "splash" or "drip" paint down a surface in the shot. My first attempt hit a number of issues. Firstly i didn't have anything to fix the glass to, the glass also picked up a lot of reflection. The paint was also too thick and didn't create suitable or even subtle drips. Focusing was then also an issue.
After an hour i decided that i need to better prepare myself to achieve the desire result and instead decided to simply take pictures of the existing painted surfaces in my house. Yes there is a square block of red paint in the middle of my living room room, a sort of home made piece of art.

Water Drops
So we've started a photo group at work and in a some what current vain attempt of finding inspiration i've started a photo topic of the month thread. This photo is one of the some what flukey results of a good 4 hours session spent taking photo's on the subject of liquid.
No its' not original, however if you we're to check the thread you'd also see that some of the photos revolve around the natural water resistant abilities of flora.
All in all a great 4 hours spent playing :-D

Graffiti, London Street Art
Saturday morning i had to go to Borrough Market to pick up some pork for the sunday roast i'd planned to cook. So i decided to take the opportunity to take some Photos as well. This is one of 3 Hundread, believe it or not, photos i took that day. I spent an hour or two walking around the market and then decided to walk back to Carlos's, to drop the pork off, via the South Bank. This is where i encountered the artist above working on a piece for the Tate modern's street art Initiative. The link above can provide more details, but its essentially part of a walking tour.
Given the topical nature of graffiti in recent news i decided to take my brothers advice and seek out the recent work by Banksy. I didn't know where it was so i used by mobile to look up the address, isn't technology usefull, and found a map to Leake street. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Leake+st+waterloo&sll=51.499019,-0.11379&sspn=0.007921,0.017359&ie=UTF8&ll=51.501196,-0.114026&spn=0.007921,0.017359&t=h&z=16&iwloc=addr
I haven't sorted through all the photos yet, this is where i took 200+, but like this one i have a couple of panoramic shots to create.
All in all a productive weekend.

www.nikefootball.com Home
Once again another Nike website launched. It's late so wont be writing much, but basically i love everything about this site. Ok so there's room for improvement, as there always is at 2pm, but i'm excited about what we've managed to do this last couple of weeks.
So to my list of achievements on the Nike front. I can now add nikefootball to; runtrack, nikerunning, nikewomen and nikespeed.
right, where's my taxi.
